OGG, Chief Judge.

The appellant/defendant, Charles G. Cannon, raises two issues in this appeal:

1. The defendant was denied his constitutional right to the effective assistance of counsel. 2. The state failed to prove the defendant was sane at the time of the offense.

The defendant was convicted by a jury of perjury with prior felony convictions and was sentenced to the Arizona State Prison for a term of not less than twelve...
