CYNAR, J.

Following a lengthy jury trial, defendant was found guilty of first-degree premeditated murder, MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548, and of arson of a dwelling house, MCL 750.72; MSA 28.267. He received the mandatory life sentence on the former conviction and a concurrent 13 to 20 year term of imprisonment on the latter. Defendant appeals as of right.
