The defendant herein was convicted by a jury of the crimes of attempted armed robbery and felonious use of a firearm. He seeks to overturn these convictions on the grounds that he was denied a speedy trial, that impermissible evidence was admitted against him, and that the evidence presented at trial was insufficient, as a matter of law, to sustain the State's burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
