Plaintiff Golomore Associates contracted to perform certain excavation work for the New Jersey Highway Authority.

In turn, Golomore subcontracted with E.J. Crosby Co., Inc. (Crosby) to perform part of the work. After starting work Crosby and Golomore discovered that the elevations shown on the contract drawings were incorrect, in that they were depicted as higher than they actually were. The result...
