This case is an appeal from a jury verdict in the Court of Common Pleas of Cuyahoga County.

Defendant-appellant, William Johnson (defendant), and three others were indicted on 12 counts each resulting from a robbery in North Royalton in January 1979. Defendant and one other codefendant, Charles Roberts, were tried together and were represented jointly by the same lawyer.
