On October 13, 1978, defendant-appellant, Ralph Kent, hereinafter referred to as appellant, was indicted for one count of kidnapping as defined by R. C. 2905.01, for two counts of rape as defined by R. C. 2907.02, for two counts of felonious assault as defined by R. C. 2903.11, and one count of attempted kidnapping as defined by R.
