Mr. JUSTICE JOHNSON delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendant, Michael McInnis, was tried in absentia by a jury for the offense of armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 38, par. 18-2). He was found guilty and sentenced to a term of 5 to 8 years imprisonment.

Defendant appeals, and we affirm.
