The defendant was convicted by a jury of unarmed robbery, MCL 750.530; MSA 28.798, and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 4 to 15 years. He brings this appeal as of right.

The testimony indicates that the victim was placing her children in her car at approximately sunup on January 3, 1978, when a man forced her down on the front seat of her car and threatened to hurt the children if she did not relinquish her purse to him. He took her purse...
