This is an appeal from a judgment in a diversity action instituted by plaintiff-appellee for personal injuries sustained while operating the Case 450 tractor-crawler. A jury verdict determined that under Illinois products liability law, the tractor was unreasonably dangerous by reason of a design defect, the lack of a parking gear, and that this defect was the proximate cause of plaintiff's injuries.
