On February 7, 1979, Sherry Winstead filed an affidavit under R. C. 5122.11 alleging her mother to be a "mentally ill person subject to hospitalization," R. C. 5122.01(B). On the same day, the Court of Common Pleas of Summit County, Probate Division, issued an order of detention. One week later, Mary Ann Winstead (respondent-appellee) was admitted to Fallsview Psychiatric Hospital for observation and treatment.
