Defendant appeals from his conviction on a charge of violation of R.S. 40:966(A)(1), distribution of a controlled dangerous substance classified in Schedule I of R.S. 40:964 (marijuana). Defendant was sentenced to pay a fine of $500 plus court costs and to serve two years at hard labor. The sentence was suspended upon the condition that defendant make full payment of the fine...
