On August 14, 1975, an explosion occurred at the Rubicon Chemicals, Inc. (Rubicon) plant in Geismar, Louisiana which caused considerable damage to a Nitric Acid Absorber Tower. As a result of this explosion and the resulting property damage and business interruption loss, Rubicon recovered payments from various insurance companies which totalled $2,622,542. Rubicon now seeks to recover this sum from Arkwright-Boston Manufacturers Mutual Insurance...
