In this workers' compensation case we must determine if the plaintiff, a sixty-one year old bookbinder whose hand was severely injured in her employer's machine, is unable "to engage in any gainful occupation for wages" within the meaning of La.R.S. 23:1221(2) (Supp.1975) and thus should be awarded compensation for permanent total disability.
