Appellant was found guilty of bank robbery by a jury on October 28, 1977. On November 1, 1977, he was found guilty of being an habitual criminal and sentenced to the Indiana Department of Corrections for life. On August 16, 1978, the appellant filed his Petition for Permission to File a Belated Motion to Correct Errors which was granted.
