Between the years 1973 and 1976, appellees Henry and Molly Seggern, ranchers in Elgin, entered into approximately seven oral loan transactions and one written note with appellant Gus Mecey, owner and operator of a local tavern. Mecey advanced sums to the Seggerns for various farm improvements, feed, and a new truck.
