SPEARS, Justice.

Petitioners here, Oliver and Rada Green, petitioned the district court for the adoption of their two nephews and niece, all minors whose parents died in a car accident. The trial court granted the adoption. Respondents, Daniel and Mary Remling, and Mary Lightfoot, the children's paternal grandparents and paternal aunt, appealed. The court of civil appeals reversed the judgment of the trial court and remanded the cause for a new trial.
