GODFREY, Justice.

Defendant Russell Roper appeals from a judgment of conviction of burglary, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 401 (Supp.1979), and theft, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 353 (Supp.1979), entered on the verdict of a Superior Court jury, Cumberland County. The case against defendant depended on the state's showing that Roper was in exclusive possession of at least some of the stolen goods on the morning after the burglary so that the jury could draw the statutory inferences...
