STROUD, Justice.

Appellant, an eighteen year old black male, was convicted by a jury and sentenced to life imprisonment for rape, 20 years for burglary and 10 years for theft of property. He alleges five points of error on appeal. We reverse the conviction because we agree with appellant that the trial court unduly restricted the cross-examination of the victim concerning her prior statement as to the identity of the assailant.
