The defendant was indicted for the offenses of aggravated assault, RSA 631:2 III, and hindering the apprehension of another, RSA 642:3 I(b). A trial by jury resulted in verdicts of guilty on charges of hindering apprehension and of the lesser included offense of simple assault, RSA 631:1.
