WILKINS, Justice:

Defendant was tried and convicted by a jury in the District Court, Utah County, of arson, a second degree felony,1 and burglary, a third degree felony.2 He appeals asserting that he was denied effective assistance of counsel in violation of Utah Constitution Article I, Section 12 and the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
