Appellee Jerry Sawyer, an assistant professor of English, instituted this action against Bryan College, its Trustees, and President, seeking specific performance of a contract of employment or, in the alternative, damages for its breach. The chancellor held that appellee had not acquired tenure under his contract with Bryan College and dismissed the action.
