This is a workers' compensation case involving the time when an occupational disease first distinctly manifested itself. Jeannette Smith was awarded, by judgment on a jury verdict, permanent partial disability as a result of her allergic reaction to chemical substances, especially those in a glue, used by her employer in its manufacturing processes.
