This is an action for indemnity. In 1967, defendant engaged the plaintiff corporation, an engineering firm, to provide services relating to the design and construction of a pulp and paper manufacturing plant which defendant contemplated constructing. The plant was built and, in 1971, an employee of defendant, Emil McClaughry, was injured while working there. McClaughry sued plaintiff for negligence in the design of the plant. A jury verdict...
