Plaintiff, Ivy Babin, brought this suit for damages based upon the alleged malpractice of the operating general surgeon, Dr. Steven M. Abramson. Joined as defendants with Dr. Abramson were Abramson-Streb, a professional medical corporation of which Dr. Abramson was a member, and their liability insurer, St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company. The plaintiff also sued East Ascension Parish General Hospital and its liability insurer, Insurance Company...
