The appellant was convicted by a jury on March 18, 1980, in the Criminal Courts of Shelby County for committing the offense of aggravated rape with confinement in the State Penitentiary for 15 years; robbery with a deadly weapon, confinement for 10 years; and burglary in the first degree, with confinement at not less than 5 nor more than 10 years.
