This is an appeal from a summary judgment for the plaintiff, Astra Bar, Inc. [Astra Bar], in a suit on a promissory note. Clinton Manges [Manges], the maker of the note, appeals.1

Astra Bar filed suit on April 28, 1978, against Manges, seeking to recover the past due principal and interest on a promissory note executed by Manges on September 20, 1977, payable to Astra Bar on or before six months...
