Defendant-appellant, Frederick Davis, Jr., was indicted by a Hamilton County Grand Jury for receiving stolen property under the provisions of R. C. 2913.51. At a jury trial, counsel for defendant was assisted by defendant himself, who insisted upon conducting his own defense from the outset of the proceedings.
