Jack Massey and his wife (Masseys) filed suit against Jimmy Long and his wife (Longs) for abatement of a private nuisance and damages. According to the Masseys' petition, albeit substantially paraphrased, noise from the operation of "six air-conditioning units" on Longs' property (a six unit apartment complex) constituted a private nuisance and as a result thereof Masseys sustained certain damages.
