Defendant Lynn Pates appeals from a conviction of possession with intent to deliver more than 500 grams of cannabis, in violation of section 5(e) of the Cannabis Control Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 56 1/2, par. 705(e)). Following a jury trial, Pates was sentenced to four years probation, with 150 days to be served in the Knox County...
