This is a direct appeal by Jefferson W. Sanders from his conviction by a jury of rape, K.S.A. 1979 Supp. 21-3502. He contends that the trial court erred in failing to accept the jury announcement that it was deadlocked and in holding hearings and conducting proceedings when defendant was not personally present; that the State's failure to disclose exculpatory evidence to the defense was prejudicial error...
