Defendant-appellant is the licensee of standard radio broadcast station WIYN in Rome, Georgia. On April 23, 1971, during the broadcast of WIYN's Comment program, the moderator characterized the Institute of American Democracy ("IAD") and its newsletter, Homefront, as "definitely subversive" and "to the Far Left."
