This is a social security disability case. The plaintiff claimed disability beginning in January 1975 as the result of a back injury. Following administrative denial there was a hearing before an administrative law judge (ALJ). In October 1976 the ALJ filed a decision in which he found that the plaintiff was not under a disability within the meaning of the Social Security Act.
