On September 9, 1976, in Salt Lake City a bus owned by the Utah Transit Authority ("UTA") and driven by a UTA employee collided with the rear end of an automobile which in turn collided head-on with an automobile driven by the plaintiff. The plaintiff was taken to the Valley West Hospital for examination.
