Patrick Murphy was shot by Officer Clinton Tucker of the Minneapolis Police Department during a burglary. Patrick and his father, James Murphy, then brought this civil action against Officer Tucker and the City of Mineapolis. Following a jury trial before the Hennepin County District Court, the jury found the defendants more negligent than the plaintiff Patrick Murphy.
