The issue presented by this appeal is whether a clause in a long term lease providing that the base monthly rent specified in the lease would be adjusted annually on July 15 in keeping with the Consumers Price Index (CPI) of the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics is applicable to the base rent set out in the option to renew the lease. The trial court so held, and we reverse.
