Following a jury trial the defendant, Annette Guice, was convicted of criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to land. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 38, pars. 21-1(a) and 21-3(a).) She was sentenced to concurrent two-year terms of probation, fined $150 for each offense and assessed court costs. On appeal the defendant contends that her constitutional right to assistance...
