The defendant, Elmer Wood, was convicted of the murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 38, par. 9-1) of his former wife Marilee Wood after a bench trial in the Circuit Court of Kane County and was sentenced to a term of 15 to 45 years imprisonment. On appeal the defendant raises issues as to the admission and consideration by the trial court of evidence of prior threats against the decedent...
