This appeal raises the questions whether the Medical Malpractice Act, Title 8, Chapter 39, Code §§ 8-911 through 8-922 (now Title 8.01, Chapter 21.1, Code §§ 8.01-581.1 through 8.01-581.12) (hereinafter, "the Act"), was applicable to plaintiff's cause of action and, if so, whether certain provisions of the Act violate the federal and state constitutions.
