This is an appeal by the defendant, American Fire and Casualty Company, Inc., from a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff, Dwight Bryan, in the amount of $10,000 plus interest.

A fire destroyed the rented home in which the plaintiff was residing on February 22, 1976. The plaintiff's personal property, which was also destroyed in the fire, was insured by the defendant, American Fire and Casualty Company. The policy had a limit of $10,000 and...
