This is a class action for employment discrimination brought pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., and § 1 of the 1871 Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Jurisdiction is based on 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(a)(2) and 28 U.S.C. § 1343. The plaintiffs are a group of black employees who worked for the Cook County Department of Public Aid...
