PREWITT, Judge.

Defendant was convicted of murder in the first degree. Section 559.007, RSMo 1969. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Defendant was charged in connection with the death of Ira Smith, from an incident occurring on April 22, 1977, in Tallapoosa, New Madrid County, Missouri.
