The Secretary of Labor brought this action under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended, 29 U.S.C. §§ 201, et seq. (hereinafter "the Act" or "the FLSA"), alleging that defendant Baptist Hospital, Inc., violated the Act's minimum wage, overtime compensation, and recordkeeping provisions, respectively sections 6, 7, and 11(c) of the Act, 29 U.S.C. §§ 206, 207, and 211(c).
