Appellant was convicted of aggravated kidnapping and assessed a life sentence.

We are faced here with a warrantless search of an automobile by policemen investigating an offense, an issue with which the United States Supreme Court has struggled for over fifty years. We have examined the numerous cases of that Court for guidance...
