Appellant was tried and convicted on charges of first-degree murder (D.C. Code 1973, § 22-2401) and possession of a prohibited weapon (D.C. Code 1973, § 22-3214(a)). He asserts the trial court erred in permitting the government to use his post-arrest statement for the purpose of impeaching him by showing he omitted therefrom facts that were included in his trial testimony.
