The defendant appeals from his conviction of the crimes of attempted rape in the second degree and assault in the second degree.

The victim and a girl friend of hers spent several hours at a Redmond, Washington cocktail lounge described in the testimony as "more or less a single's bar." She testified that when she left alone to drive home, she was accosted outside the bar by the defendant, with whom she had danced, and...
