The first question presented on this appeal is: "Did the Court err in vacating and setting aside the September 15, 1972, Judgment?" We answer, "No."

These special proceedings were filed pursuant to the provisions of G.S., Chap. 43, entitled "Land Registration," and commonly known as the "Torrens Law." A discussion of the history and development of the Torrens Law is set forth in Cape Lookout Co. v. Gold, 167 N.C. 63, 83 S.E. 3 (1914)....
