OPINION

KELLEHER, Justice.

After an unusually lengthy trial, a Superior Court jury returned a verdict in which it found that on August 14, 1975, the defendants, Ralph Byrnes, Charles Flynn, and John Ouimette, were participants in the so-called Bonded Vault robbery. Thereafter, the trial justice imposed life sentences on each defendant, and they in turn appealed. The defendants are presently before us on their appeal from the denial by a Superior Court justice...
