Plaintiff, Gordon Brumley, brought this action in the Circuit Court of St. Clair County under the Jones Act (46 U.S.C. § 688 et seq. (1970)) to recover damages for personal injuries allegedly caused by the negligence of defendant, Federal Barge Lines, Inc.
