In 1969 the plaintiff entered into two franchise agreements with the defendant under which the plaintiff undertook to operate an International House of Pancakes in Springfield and one in Natick. Disputes arose as to the amounts due to the defendant, and another agreement was signed by the parties on March 15, 1974.
