In the early morning hours of October 4, 1975, while leaving the Gallery Lounge in Providence with his wife Deborah, Gary Charron was shot. Three months later he died from the wounds inflicted by the gunshot. The defendant, Donald Porraro, was apprehended and charged with the crime.
